I grew up in a refugee camp in Northern Uganda. Life was uncertain, and families had nothing to hold onto except their faith and each other.

We didn’t have albums. We didn’t have framed pictures on the walls. We had stories but no way to keep them alive.

I remember watching people grow older, watching children change, watching families hold onto moments that no one ever captured. And one day, those moments were gone forever.

The few photos that did exist? They became priceless. They were proof. Proof that we were together. Proof that our lives mattered.

That’s why I founded Uku O’pi Photography.

Because family is everything. Because time moves fast. Because the moments that define your family today will be history tomorrow.

My mission is simple: No family should be left without a legacy.
